TOTAL NUMBER OF GUESTS
In determining the total number of guests, children of all ages are included in the head count, We however do
not charge kids 5 years old and below (up to 2 kids only per booking guest), unless they require extra
mattresses. The free accommodation benefit, for kids 5 years old and below, does not apply to Glamping Tents and
Day Trip packages. Drivers and yayas are likewise included in the guest count. Additional guests, in excess of
the maximum number of 15 guests for the villa, upper deck, lower deck, and 10 guests for the cabin, shall be
charged P3,500 per person per night. The high rate is to deter and discourage unauthorized addition of guests,
in excess of the maximum allowable in the unit. We require a minimum of 2 nights on weekends.
We offer limited selection of food that the guest can order. We advise the guest, however, to place their order
at least a week prior to their arrival date. We can furnish you our menu upon request. Guests are allowed to
bring or cook their food. Cooking is allowed only in the unit’s kitchen. We charge P1k per offense for
unauthorized cooking outside the unit’s kitchen. The kitchens are equipped with the basic cooking and heating
essentials. We can also lend you a portable charcoal grill, should you need one, and it shall be placed at a
designated area. We provide bed linens and pillows with cases. We do not provide towels, toiletries, and cooking
ingredients.
We will provide free one 5-gallon purified water per overnight stay for the cabin, villa and deck units. We can
order additional purified water, ice and charcoal for you (with charges), if you need them. A bonfire can be
arranged with a charge of 500. Request for bonfire must be made before 5pm of the particular day.
PET POLICY
We allow small breed and well-behaved dogs only. We charge P3000 per pet. Pets are not allowed in the beds and
on sofas. We require that your dog be guarded and cared for at all times, and not left in any area of the estate
unattended or unaccompanied, and should not go near or disturb other guests. Dogs are required to wear diapers
always when outside. The owner must also clean up after and should be ready with a scooper and bag for proper
disposal of dog waste. Burying pet waste in the sand, grass, or anywhere on the property is strictly prohibited.
Any violation of these rules shall be subject to P2000 fine per offense. Our employees are instructed to monitor
and look out for any violation by the guests relating to this matter. Also, please be advised that we shall not
be liable in case stray dogs or cats enter the compound and cause harm to the guest or to the guest’s pet.
CANCELLATION/REBOOKING
We allow cancellation, with refund of payment, if done at least 14 days before date of the original booking. A
guest may rebook twice, provided each rebooking is done at least 14 days before the booked or rebooked dates.
Rebooking for the third time, or if made less than 14 days before the booked dates, for whatever reason,
including for medical grounds, shall no longer be allowed. The failure of the guest to arrive on the booked or
rebooked date, for whatever reason, shall not entitle the guest to any refund whatsoever. We also allow
rebooking only (no cancellation) in case of a storm or typhoon, where Laiya is placed under signal 1 or higher,
or in case of the imposition of a lockdown in your city or municipality or in Barangay Laiya, covering the time
of your booked dates, provided the request for rebooking is made within 3 days from the date of the imposition
of the lockdown. Authorized rebooking shall be subject to any increase in rates applicable to the new dates.
SECURITY DEPOSIT – for overnight units
A Security Deposit in the amount of P5,000 per accommodation unit shall be paid by the guest to answer for any
loss, damage, and/or vandalism that may be caused by the guest or any member of his/her group, on any property
of The Resthouse Laiya (TRL), in general, and/or by the rented unit, its fixtures, furniture, appliances,
gadgets, implements, linens and beddings, greenery, and similar items, while the unit is in the possession or
control of the guest. The Security Deposit may not be used to pay for incidentals, such as food and drinks,
merchandise, rentals, or other additional charges. TRL shall conduct an inspection of the rented unit and the
contents thereof upon check-out after the unit has been surrendered and completely vacated by the guest. The
Security Deposit, less the cost of damage determined by TRL, if any, shall be returned to the guest within 3
days from the date of check-out, unless the damage requires longer time for evaluation. In case the amount of
the deposit is not sufficient to cover the cost of loss or damage, the guest undertakes to pay the amount of
deficiency.
SECURITY DEPOSIT – for day trip
A Security Deposit in the amount of P3,000 per cabana shall be paid by the guest to answer for any loss and/or
damage that may be sustained by any property of The Resthouse Laiya (TRL). The Security Deposit may not be used
to pay for incidentals, such as food and drinks, merchandise, rentals, or other additional charges. TRL shall
conduct an inspection of the rented premises upon check-out. The Security Deposit, less the cost of damage as
determined by TRL, if any, shall be returned to the guest within 3 days upon checkout, unless the nature of
damage or loss requires a longer period of evaluation. In case the amount of the deposit is not sufficient to
cover the cost of loss or damage, the guest undertakes to pay the amount of deficiency.
CLEANING FEE
The interiors of the unit must be kept clean and dry at all times, including all furniture and appliances. All
used tableware, glassware, cooking wares and utensils must be washed, cleaned, dried and returned, in the same
condition and place where they were found. A cleaning fee of P1000, per unit, shall be charged, automatically,
for guests who fail to comply with the above. The cleaning fee shall be in addition to, and separate from, the
events covered by the Security Deposit.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT AND CABANA RULES

Check-in time is at 3:00 p.m. while check out time is at 11:00 a.m. Guests may be allowed to arrive earlier
than check-in time and remain in the compound after checkout time, subject to the discretion and prior
approval by TRL and to the availability of a courtesy cabana. Early arrival shall not be earlier than 9:00
a.m., while late departure shall not be later than 5:00 p.m.

Guests allowed to arrive early will be directed to a pre-assigned courtesy cabana, located at the welcome
area of the compound, where they can stay while waiting for the 3 pm check-in.

On check-out day, Guests must vacate the unit by 11:00 a.m. No extension shall be allowed. Guests who fail
to vacate the unit by 11 a.m. shall be fined the amount of P5,000 for every hour, or a fraction thereof, of
delay, without prejudice to any other action TRL may decide to take, including but not limited to entering
and taking over possession of the unit, removal from the unit of all personal belongings of the guest/s,
cutting-off electricity and water supply to the unit, and such other steps that would compel the guest to
vacate the unit and/or that would prevent the guest/s from further using the same.

After checking-out from the unit, the guests, at the sole discretion of TRL, may be allowed to extend their
stay in the compound, by transferring to an available courtesy cabana, where they can stay up to 5:00 p.m..

The use of a cabana is not included in the booking rate and is subject to separate rental fees. However, for
the meantime and until further notice, we allow our billeted guests to use a cabana, free of charge.
Assignment of the cabanas is the sole prerogative of TRL, and the guest shall have no right to choose
his/her cabana. The use of the assigned cabana, whether with fee or not, is strictly from 3:00 p.m. of
check-in date up to 10:30 a.m. of the check-out date, at which time, TRL shall have the right to enter and
take possession thereof.

TRL allots only one (1) free cabana per group of guests, regardless of the number of guests or units booked.
The use of an additional cabana shall be subject to P5,000 fee per cabana. Guests may upgrade a Regular
Cabana into a Premium Cabana, with the installation of curtains, for an additional price of One Thousand
(P1,000.00) Pesos, for the duration of the booking. The unauthorized use of a cabana, different from the one
assigned by TRL, shall be subject to P5000 penalty fee per offense.

No cooking is allowed in the cabana. Guests are advised to have ready-to-eat food, during early arrival and
late departure, since they will have no access to a kitchen before check-in time and after checkout time.

The electrical outlet provided in the cabana is strictly for phone-charging. No other electronic gadget or
appliance may be plugged-in to the electrical outlet.
The following acts are strictly prohibited within the property of TRL:

The use and/or possession of any illegal, toxic, flammable or dangerous substance, or of a deadly weapon or
prohibited gadget (whether licensed or not).

Disorderly, unruly, violent, felonious, lewd, and immoral conduct or behavior.

Creating loud sounds or noises that may disturb other guests, such as the use of any sound equipment,
karaoke or videoke, is strictly prohibited.

The use of drones, cameras, and other image-capturing devices that intrudes into and/or disturbs the privacy
of others.
-
Smoking inside the units or in any other area not designated as a smoking area. Smoking is allowed only in
spots where TRL has placed terracotta ashtrays.

Cooking in any area of the compound except in the unit’s kitchen or grilling area.
-
Removal/relocation of fixtures and equipment inside/outside the unit or cabana.
-
Hanging or displaying clothes or towels in any place other than the drying rack provided in the unit.
-
The use of fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices.
-
Swimming in the beach before 7:00 am and after 6:00 pm.
-
Unauthorized use of rescue life-saving rings and cans (orange in color) and similar equipment.

Littering in the common areas of TRL and/or disposing of waste and garbage directly to the toilet bowl, the
beach, sea, toilets, and in any other manner other than in the waste and garbage baskets/cans provided by
TRL.

Wasteful use of faucet water, committing harmful acts against any tree, plant, vegetation, and sea
resources, and other similar acts.
Any violation of these policies, as well as any other rule or regulation imposed by TRL, is subject to a penalty
charge of One Thousand (P1,000.00) Pesos per offense, unless a different fee or remedy is provided elsewhere,
and shall be without prejudice to any other additional and/or simultaneous remedial measures TRL may deem proper
to take, including causing the immediate removal from our premises of the erring party/ies, and/or the detention
or arrest by the local authorities in case such person or group of persons have committed a more serious
offense. The management reserves the right to implement additional and applicable rules to regulate the safety
and well being of our guests.
